Lot 89 | Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date, ref 1500, w/Boxes Est. $3,000 - $6,000 Even though Rolex has dominated the collector's watch space for decades, it is still possible to find a good value when shopping the brand. This Oyster Perpetual Date ref 1500 punches well above its weight and is the perfect example of how to buy vintage Rolex. Only slightly smaller than today's 36mm Datejust, this model still screams Rolex with the iconic two-tone Oystercase and Jubilee bracelet. Unlike the loads of other 1500s you'll likely come across, this example has an original champagne slate dial which is extraordinarily beautiful and far less common than other colors for the reference. Although lightly polished, this watch is perfect for collectors with a nearly mint cal. 1570, nearly flawless dial, very light stretch, and original inner and outer boxes and manual (the warranty certificate has a mismatched serial). And with an estimate that puts this in modern Tudor pricing, I can't think of a better watch for a collector to purchase as their first Rolex without breaking the bank.
Lot 96 | Heuer "Black Coral" 1000 Professional diver, ref 980.029, quartz Est. $400 - $800
The Professional 1000 line was pretty standard, well-made dive fare until you get to references like 980.029, otherwise known as the "Black Coral." Dressed up in black and gold, this model was produced during the final years of pre-TAG Heuer and screams 1980s opulence while also being a highly capable tool watch. Like everything retro, these models are highly collectible today and getting harder and harder to find in good condition. And condition is exactly what makes this example stand out. The movement is not currently running, most likely needing a new battery, but the original PVD coating is in exceptional condition. There are a few light rub marks, otherwise you would think you pulled this out of a dealer's case 40 years ago. The bracelet is in excellent cosmetic condition, too, only needing some adjustments to the clasp to make it feel showroom-new again.
Lot 98 | Omega Seamaster, ref 2576-14, bumper automatic Est. $400 - $700
Want to get your first vintage watch but not sure where to start? This Omega Seamaster, ref 2576-14, is a great option. Few brands have as much pedigree as Omega, fewer lines have had the staying power as the Seamaster, and finding a 75+ year old watch in such a wearable 34mm size makes this a diamond in the rough. Unlike modern Omegas, this Seamaster is powered by the cal. 342 bumper automatic. Bumper autos are great conversation starters and a fun way for the watch to let you know it's on your wrist. It's in honest condition, perfect for collectors with its original dial, original crown, and original Omega plastic crystal. This example is fitted with a black leather strap, but it would look good on just about anything from tropic to one-piece nylon.

This Hamilton Grade 950B is an excellent early example with three-digit series-specific serial number. Flip it around and the gold movement train is sure stand out, only being found among the first approximately 3,800 or so Grade 950B movements produced. Hamilton switched over to brass train wheels for the remainder of Grade 950B production to follow.
Overall, this watch is in excellent condition, with a nearly mint movement; fantastic dial and hands; and only light wear to the case. The case and dial are original Hamilton, making this an excellent opportunity for collectors wanting to add a great 950B into their mix.
Est. $1,800 - $2,200 Although you can find plenty of ornate American pocket watches, European makers did an amazing job at turning the medium from tool into an art form. This Hyde & Sons model is the perfect example, coming in a respectable 48mm in a solid 18K gold open face case. However, the star of the show is the dial, beautifully engraved featuring an idyllic waterside sailboat and home scene, making this watch the poster child of "unwinding and resetting."
The watch is in very good condition overall. Although not currently running, it most likely requires a new mainspring and should be a relatively straightforward overhaul for any watchmaker to handle.

This Morgan was plucked from an old Library of Coins album collection and has a sought-after better-date issue that has long attracted collectors for its comparatively low mintage and scarcity in higher grades.
