
SHIPPING
Jones & Horan’s in-house shipping department processes, packs, and ships all orders on-site. Packages are shipped in accordance with the policy below, fully insured, and require a signature at the time of delivery. A printout of your paid invoice will be included inside the package, unless you specifically instruct us otherwise before we ship.
Shipping charges are added to your invoice within 1-3 business days after auction close. Orders are generally shipped within 5-7 business days (or sooner) after payment is received. Review our accepted forms of payment here.
By bidding in our auctions, you are agreeing to our terms and policies, including shipping. Jones & Horan assumes responsibility for shipments that follow our standard shipping policy.
Standard Shipping Policy:

Packages valued at $500 or less: Shipped via USPS Priority, fully insured, signature required.

Packages valued at over $500: Domestic packages are shipped via FedEx Express 2nd Day, fully insured, signature required. Large or heavy international packages may be sent via FedEx Economy to help save on shipping charges.

In-Person Pickup: Offered by appointment only. You may also provide payment via cash or check at the time of pickup, please call or email us to coordinate.

Special Shipping Requests:
Our shipping department accepts requests to ship outside of our standard policy on a case-by-case basis. Email auctions@jones-horan.com with your request prior to payment and our team will reach out to discuss. Any orders shipped outside of our standard policy are non-returnable. In the case of damage or loss during transit, liability rests with the buyer and not Jones & Horan. For this reason, we highly recommend taking advantage of our standard shipping policy for your order.

Shipping Your Consignment:
If you're looking to send your consignment material to our offices, our shipping department can provide a pre-paid, fully insured FedEx shipping label upon request. To ensure your items arrive safely, please securely wrap each item(s) with bubble wrap, choose an appropriately sized cardboard box, and fill any gaps in the box with bubble wrap or crumpled paper. We recommend keeping each box to under 25lbs for larger consignments. We'll deduct these shipping costs from your proceeds.

What is the Average Shipping Cost?
Shipping costs are based on the value of your items; the size and weight of your package; and your distance from our New Hampshire shipping depot. We find the following rates apply to the majority of single pocket and wristwatch lots:

Sub $500 items via USPS Priority: $18-$25*

Over $500 items via FedEx 2Day: $35-$55*

Can I Upgrade to Faster Shipping?
Our shipping department is happy to help you get your items faster! Please contact us prior to payment if you’d like to upgrade from FedEx 2Day to FedEx Overnight shipping.
Do You Ship Internationally?
Yes, we do! International shipping is at the cost of the buyer without any upcharges – our shipping department will update your invoice with the shipping costs 1-3 days after auction close.
Can Jones & Horan Modify the Declared Customs Value on My International Shipment?
We do not misrepresent values on shipping statements for overseas buyers. All invoices reflect the values achieved at the auction. If desired, we can ship to an alternate address in the United States, but please let us know prior to payment so we can adjust your invoice accordingly. We can also ship via DHL international if a label is provided.
How Do You Handle Very Large or Heavy Items?
Most large or heavy items that are unable to be shipped in-house will have this responsibility indicated in the lot description. In these cases, Jones & Horan will work with the buyer to coordinate pickup with a third-party shipper; the buyer will also be required to complete an Authorized Release Form.
I Can’t Sign for My Delivery – Can You Hold My Shipment?
If you win an auction while you are traveling or otherwise unable to be available for delivery, please contact us prior to payment with details. We can either hold your shipment until a specified date or update your invoice with a new shipping address. If you fail to inform us prior to payment, our team will ship to the address as listed on your invoice. If your package is returned to sender for this reason, we are happy to reship the package at your expense.
