TO JONES & HORAN
Jones & Horan is delighted to guide you through the entire auction process, from initial contact through final payment. (See THE PROCESS, below.)

We are always seeking quality timepieces either for consignment or for outright purchase and would love to hear from you, whether you are looking to sell a single piece or an entire collection.

Our sliding scale consignor rates are tailored to your needs and to the type and quality of your consigned items.

Jones & Horan charges no buyer’s premium, has no state sales tax, and there are no “hidden” fees.

~Advance payments immediately available~

We are fully insured and can make arrangements to travel to pick up.

We are also interested in purchasing collections outright, if you would prefer.

Our typical % rates on consignments are:
9% for any item selling for $20,000 and up
13% for any item selling for $10,000 to $19,999
17% for any item selling for $5,000 to $9,999
20% for watches, clocks, jewelry and coins selling for under $5,000
30% for consignments consisting mainly of materials, parts or components, and tools (these type of bulk materials and tools consignments are considered for consignment on a case by case basis - please contact us first!)

We have no hidden fees. The above consignment rates include full insurance, photography, advertising, etc.

Also, with our no buyer's premium, bidders do not have to factor in those expensive fees, resulting in a higher hammer price, which gets passed directly on to you, the consignor, less consignor commission. We are one of the only auction houses in the country that still charges no buyer's premium, to the direct benefit of both our bidders and consignors.

THE PROCESS:

STEP 1 – CONTACT US. Simply give us a call at (603) 623-5314, and/or send us an email with photographs to auctions@jones-horan.com. In your email, please include pertinent information that can’t be determined from your photos, as well as contact information so we can reach you. An expert will contact you to discuss what we can do for you. We are also pleased to arrange in-home consultations when appropriate.

STEP 2 – SIGN THE CONTRACT. Click here to download our Consignment Form, which contains our terms, consignor fee, and the information we need from you for notifications and payment. Signed contracts can be scanned and emailed to us or included in the package with your property.

STEP 3 – MAKE SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS. You can ship your property to us at your own expense, or we can arrange for a shipping label for you to place on your package*, which will be deducted from your proceeds after property is auctioned. If you need assistance with packing and/or shipping your property to us, please contact us. Please note: If you are consigning goods from overseas, shipping charges, taxes and import duties are your responsibility. Some countries may apply import and export regulations for certain types of goods, such as watches containing batteries. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with these regulations.
If you would like to personally deliver your property to Jones & Horan, please make an appointment with us by telephone or email. We are located at 453 Mast Road, Goffstown, New Hampshire, USA, just 15 minutes from the Manchester International Airport in Manchester, New Hampshire, and about an hour from Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts.
We may also be able to arrange a pickup of your property.* We would discuss when we could arrange it and what charge for the pickup would be deducted from your proceeds after your property is auctioned.

*Shipping labels and/or pickups provided on a case by case basis taking into account factors such as client needs, value of consignment, and more. Please contact us directly to inquire about whether your consignment qualifies.

STEP 4 – JONES & HORAN GETS TO WORK. Once your property reaches Jones & Horan, our experts get right to work tagging your items into inventory, photographing, and cataloging each lot in detail with a full condition report. Our expert will determine how to best lot your items to achieve the greatest price possible, as well as deciding the best venue to ensure the strongest bidding. We also send out your cash advance check at this time, if desired and agreed upon. (If we come to you, we will leave you with a cash advance check when we take possession of your consignment.)

STEP 5 – WATCH FOR YOUR PRE-SALE NOTIFICATION. In the case of a Live Auction, a catalog will be mailed to you with a list of your consignment approximately one month before the auction. You will also receive an email when the auction goes live online for absentee bidding. For an Online Auction, an email will go out to you approximately four days before the auction opens for bidding with a list of your lots and a link to the auction.

STEP 6 – "ATTEND" THE AUCTION. You may “attend” by watching the lots sell on the last day (30 seconds apart) through our website, or you can view the bidding progress any time during the week that auction is live for bidding. For Live Close Auctions, you can watch the auctioneer online through our website.

STEP 7 – PRICES REALIZED. All prices realized will be available on our website after each auction closes, whether online-only or live.

STEP 8 – PAYMENT IS SENT. Payment will be mailed to you together with a settlement statement itemizing sales results, consignor fees and net owed. Checks are mailed 14 days after an online-only auction and 28 days after a live auction.
