Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, hardly any oxide, light spotting to rotor and plates; fine dial with several fine scratches to surface and ample surface spotting; fine silver hands with light surface spotting; polished case shows light wear, small solder repair of wire lugs as is typical of watches of this era, very light dings on the backs of the lugs; period correct Oyster signed crown shows very little wear, good threads; good crystal; resealed for auction.

WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bubbleback "Prototype," circa 1932, 31mm x 39mm to lug tips, 17mm wire lug width, original 18K yellow gold screw back Oyster case, black leather strap, original silvered dial with applied silver numerals, 18J, 8 3/4" full instruction prototype movement, s#29603, triple signed. Gross weight of assembled watch 27.4 dwt (42.4 g). Truly a fabulous early example from a time when having an automatic wristwatch was nearly unheard of and was cutting edge technology; it's very hard to find these earlier Bubbleback models today so don't miss out on this one!
