PW lot (3) Illinois, Sangamo Special, 23J, gold-filled OF cases, SW-LS, nickel damascene, all run though one needing a twist to start, one with setting lever issue and one is sluggish - [1] Unmarked 60 Hour, 17S, green Sangamo Special stiff bow case, cuvette with signature ring, case shows medium wear, fine scratches, scuffs, and tiny nicks to rear, few tiny dings to band, nick with small dent to upper rear, small shallow dent to left rear, scattered thin and thick strips of wear to brass to band, bezel, and bow, few thin strips of wear to brass to rear edge, white enamel SS Montgomery dial is a 16S replacement (as evident by the relatively large amount of mvt dial plate visible when case bezel is opened), dial with patched chip below seconds-register at 6:30, scratch above center hole, few small edge flakes with faint hl under bezel at 4, few spots of light edge wear under bezel, s#4628488, runs after a twist to start. [2] 17S, Sangamo Special case shows substantial wear, few fine scratches to rear, scattered tiny nicks and tiny dings throughout, scattered dings to band, thick rings of wear to brass to rear edge and band, thin ring of wear to brass to bezel adjacent to crystal, few scattered small spots and thin sliver of wear to brass to bezel edge, white enamel SS dial with edge flakes at 9, scattered hls, few tiny flakes, small gouges between 11 and 12, edge wear under bezel, s#4166390, setting lever does not return to starting position and does not allow the case to close without assistance from a toothpick holding the lever down. [3] 16S, case shows very light wear, few fine scratches to rear, scattered light scuffs to rear edge, scattered tiny nicks and tiny dings to band, few minuscule partial slivers of wear to brass beginning to form to bezel and band edges, large area of light toning to rear, painted metal reproduction dial with few scratches surrounding center hole, small gouge left of seconds-register hole, fine scratches to left portion of dial, s#3610311, ticking sluggishly, escape wheel jewel setting is a brass replacement.
