Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, very small oxide spots on the winding wheel and regulator; dial is flawless in visible portion but removal of bezel reveals some small edge chips and a hl along perimeter at 2; excellent hands, minute with slight bend and bits of oxide to its tip, seconds-hand is a replacement; case front has a bit of play at its hinge and one perimeter section of the hinge tube has a fracture of approximately one-third its length, case show light wear, some small dings, engraving detail is reduced but remains quite attractive; tight bow thinned at top, crown shows substantial wear; good glass crystal.
APW - Elgin, Convertible model, Grade 86, 15J, 16S, 14K gold box hinge drum style HC recase with attractive foliate engraving surrounding a large frame empty on the front and village river bridge scene on the rear, gold cuvette, fancy white and gray enamel SS impressed dial with maroon numerals, extensive decorations in two shades center of gold foil, blue glass insets around center, fancy gilt Louis XV style hands, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#3935103. Gross weight of assembled watch 83.4 dwt (129.7 g). An attractive piece with notably colorful and beautiful fancy dial.
