Here's how to receive your purchase after payment is made:
In our ongoing effort to make auctions fun and easy for our friends and clients, the majority* of shipping is accomplished in-house here at Jones & Horan!
For most items*, shipping is free within the United States. Occasionally a large or heavy lot will incur a shipping fee, which is noted in detail just before the description.
All international buyers will incur a shipping fee to ship to their country. We do not charge more than what the shipper charges, so our rates are reasonable! We are happy to ship to a location in the United States for free if desired (for online-only auction purchases), but please let us know before making payment so we can adjust your invoice accordingly.
Insurance will always be purchased unless requests to the contrary are received in writing.
There are additional fees to upgrade to one day (overnight) shipping, especially if Saturday delivery is requested. Contact us before making payment to arrange for this upgrade.
If you have a preference as to shipper that differs from our policies (see below), please contact us as soon as possible after receiving notification of your winning bids.
Buyer's Responsibility: It is your responsibility to tell us if you will be traveling or otherwise unable to sign for the delivery, or if you wish to have your purchase shipped to an address other than the one on your invoice. WE WILL ALWAYS SHIP TO THE ADDRESS ON OUR INVOICE UNLESS REQUESTED OTHERWISE BEFORE PAYMENT IS MADE OR IN A NOTE SUBMITTED WITH PAYMENT. THANK YOU!
We always strive to ship as soon as possible after payment as received, usually within 24 hours (except for weekends and U.S. holidays.)
A printout of your paid invoice will be included inside the package, unless you specifically instruct us otherwise before we ship.
(such as large clocks) will be the responsibility of the buyer and will be indicated as so in the lot description, but Jones & Horan will assist whenever possible. Jones & Horan can recommend a New Hampshire-based shipping company, if needed. Here is a guideline on shipping carriers used by Jones & Horan:
For auction purchases totaling under $1,000, we ship USPS Priority Mail, insured, signature required. Packages valued $200 and over will require a signature. Packages shipped via USPS internationally will be shipped in our own boxes, not USPS's own "priority" boxes.
For auction purchases totaling $1,000 or more, we ship FedEx 2nd day (or FedEx International Priority), insured. A signature is required on all packages.
PLEASE NOTE! FedEx has a free tool on their website where you can create an account and specify things like where to leave packages, when to deliver, etc., including if you would like the package to be held at another site for you to pick up personally, such as a FedEx location, Walgreens, Target, etc. Click here to go to the FedEx Ship Delivery Manager Site
