This auction includes 50 lots from the Harvey Friedland pocket watch collection:
Harvey Friedland (1926-1999) was born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts. After service and honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, he opened his first of many shoe stores known as Harve's Shoe Box. Harvey became a successful merchant and a fastidious dresser. His signature daily attire was three-piece Hickey Freeman suits, always accessorized with a pocket watch, gold chain and fob.
He became a passionate watch collector in the early '70s through the '80s. He was an active member of the NAWCC and the New England chapter.
