Greetings fellow watch enthusiasts,

At Jones & Horan, the health and safety of our staff, clients, and friends are our top priority, and our hearts go out to all those affected by the Covid-19 virus (coronavirus).

We have been closely monitoring the rapidly changing current situation surrounding the coronavirus, and we have decided to reschedule our April 26, 2020 Live Webcast Auction event.  We will continue to follow state, federal, and CDC directives and recommendations as they are issued, we will continue to closely monitor world events, and we will keep you updated on all future changes and developments of auction plans if they are needed.

At this time, we do plan on continuing each of our currently scheduled online-only auctions, as listed on our website, and we will be adding one more additional online-only auction at the beginning of May.  Please note that our bi-weekly online auctions continue to get better and better!   It’s easy to participate, and Jones and Horan offers No Reserves, No Buyer’s Premium and Free Shipping within the United States!  Contact us with any and all questions, and plan to join us online every other Thursday evening.

As for the lots that we have in our “early preview” for April 26th, many of the lots will now be offered at our November 1, 2020 Live Webcast Auction instead, and we will be updating our website to show these.  Many lots will also be moved into our ongoing online-only auctions, including our exciting annual "Christmas in July" online-only auction.

There is nothing we care about more than you, and we thank you for your support and understanding as we navigate through these uncertain times.  Stay safe and be well.

Kind regards and best wishes,
Diana, George, Patty, Fred, Tyler, Amanda, and the rest of the team

Above, Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, reference 6265, fresh to market having sat in a safety deposit box since the mid 1980s, completely unpolished with box, papers and matching hang tags.
Above, an exceedingly rare watch, one of the most impressive American watches in existence, Waltham minute repeater with split-seconds chronograph and 60-minute register, 16-17J, 16S, in very heavy 18K gold.
This is one of only two total examples of which we are aware!  The lone other example of a split-seconds minute repeating Waltham that we have encountered is serial number 3793206 (a consecutive serial number to the presently offered watch) which was sold by Sothebys in 2004, was formerly a part of the Rockford Time Museum collection, and had a case noted as "reconstructed" with "new covers, bow, crown, & stem" per Donald Hoke's "The Time Museum Historical Catalogue of American Watches."  The presently offered example is notable for its superb condition throughout including its very heavy original gold hunting case made by prestigious New York casemaker Jeannot & Shiebler.  In all an exquisitely beautiful piece, and we are thrilled to offer it in our April Live Auction Event to the collecting community!
