My absentee bid should have won that item, why didn't it?  

Another bidder submitted the same amount as you, but his bid takes precedence over yours.  

This happens in these two cases:   

1.  Two floor bidders vie against one another, and due to the random starting bid, and increments used, they reach the exact amount of your bid.  We were not authorized to go another increment for you, so the floor bidder wins it.   We strongly encourage you to attend the auction in person.

2.  Or, another Absentee Bidder got his bid into us before you.
