Co, 46mm,
18K OF original Swiss case & mvt both marked "Made for Tiffany
& Co by Patek Philippe & Co, Switzerland," SW-SS,
original gilt
dial marked "Tiffany & Co" and "Switzerland," repeat activation
by
slide, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, fully jeweled repeat
train, 31J with 8 adjustments, parallel pattern NI damascene, s#174740,
back with rhombohedral monogram






- Jean
Baptiste Baillon, after 1751, watchmaker to Queen Marie Leczinska and
Queen Marie Antoinette, elegant multi-color gold and repousse quarter
repeating verge fusee with dumb-striking and bell-striking option lever
as well as muting button, 46mm, 18K OF original consular case, KWKS,
WED w/ expert restoration, verge escapement, finely gilt plates,
pierced foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, rose-cut
diamond-set hands, without serial number; Britten's notes that Baillon
did an extensive trade and was "the richest watchmaker in Europe," and
examples of his work may be found in the Victoria & Albert
museum as well as others





Swiss
minute repeating moon-phase calendar chronograph, 55mm, 18K heavy
original HC w/ glazed cuvette in addition to gold dust-cover with
remant couple's portraits in floated emulsion within engraved
escutcheons, SW-LS, WED w/ apertures & sub-dials, lever
escapement, probably 25J as the repeat train is unjeweled on the dial
plate, NI, higher grade governor wag system, s#10788, slide-activated
minute repeating on two gongs, simple day-date-month-moon-phase
calendar w/ advancing levers through bezel, simple stop-start-return
chronograph activated by button on band






- Swiss Arbaco Masonic triangular form watch, 56mm length of
base,
gold filled (20 micron plated) metal original case with stamped relief
of Masonic altar & symbols, SW-SS, silvered metal dial with
painted
Masonic symbols in lieu of numerals, lever escapement, 17J, satined NI
mvt, no production numbers

Rogers, London, exceptionally large and near mint triple cased verge
fusee for Turkish market with Turkish dial and tortoise shell pique
outer case, 82mm, matching coin silver original cases, the outer in
pique with decorative bezels & edges, the second with
decorative bezel & edges, the inner plain, KWKS, WED with gold
poker & beetle hands, verge escapement, the mvt gilt w/ pierced
& foliate scrolled single footed balance cock, s#19545, in
exceptional original state, with an early 19th century GF stone-set key

verge fusee calendar watch with champleve dial, 60mm, coin silver OF

and pierced silver mask in armorial style with maker's signature laying

- Ulysse Nardin, Locle, Switzerland, lever chronometer in
presentation box, "Presentation Gift of Honor from the Republic and
Canton of Neuchatel at the Federal Gymnastics Festival at Berne in
1947," the presentation in French within the original box cover and on
the cuvette as well, 49mm, 18K OF original case with metal reinforced
cuvette, SW-SS, WED with fine blue minute numbers, chronometer class
lever escapement with number by balance (following observatory
convention), probably 16J, gilt bridge model, s#87851, with Bulletin de
Marche from Ulysse Nardin, apparently its own certification of this
watch as a pocket chronometer: B quality 19 ligne mvt, showing maximum
variation in timekeeping at various temperatures and in various
positions over a range of 7.5 seconds per diem with a rough daily
average gain of 3 seconds per diem; the original certificate of origin
is with the watch as well, both papers concealed behind the top silk
lining
