Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, good good verge function, good gilding with dirt & oil smear only; dial almost perfect but for small hl fracture at edge near 5; hands good; original heavier gauge cases show medium even wear overall, some MFS, hardly any dents or dings, worn hole on button cap; bow & pendant show medium wear; good glass bull's-eye crystal with very small chip at 1:30; a well-functioning and original watch with honest wear; some of the unsigned watches of this type were slated for export so they could be signed by any retailer; this watch was produced during the American embargo on British goods due to the War of 1812, and might have been blocked from US shores - a mere historical guess
