Mvt: GRO, good verge function, near mint gilding, few FS, cap jewel perhaps replaced, but not its setting; dial perfect; hands lovely but probably later than original; original case with matched outer showing light wear, medium toned even tarnish, numerous MFS, no dents or dings; original bow & pendant; button square good; good domed glass crystal; papers in excellent condition throughout, complete with good graphics; an excellent condition original watch with a series of papers that one can confirm were within the watch and carefully conserved; it is hard to find English contract verges with such good historical information from the late 18th or early 19th centuries, and one rarely sees an affirmable date engraved on a plate
