Condition Report For Lot# 36:
Mvt: GRO, good balance motion, good poise, fine plates show very few MFS, good slots & settings, tiny oxide on bright work; dial has hls in outer chapter, surface rust from rusted hands; hands completely rusted by acid-emitting celluloid crystal, but train still not yet frozen, hands will need replacement and the posts and dial train components will need to be cleaned up and polished at their tops or tips where the rusting occurs; original case shows light wear, some MFS, no dents or dings; bow & crown show medium wear w/ brass on crown highlights & bow underside; crystal must be discarded, left on here to show typical damage caused by these; the yellowed crystals always create damage looking much worse than it is; while the train can be stopped if the cannon post rust at the top interferes with the hour wheel, it only requires a touch of polishing of these to make the watch all better; new hands, a crystal, and ultrasonic cleaning of the dial are about all it takes; the plate and its steel parts are typically undamaged under the dial
Estimate: $200 - $400
