• 629 APW - American KW, probably Newark Watch Co contract for J W Haight & Co, Auburn NY, marked "Patent" and "Full-Jewel'd," 18S, heavy 4oz coin silver recase, KWKS, WE-SS Waltham pin-footed dial that fits dial plate perfectly, lever escapement, probably 15J, gilt, s#8529, matching final 3 digits under cock; dial plate is additionally marked "Wadsworth's Patent" internally, beneath the regulator; while the perfectly fitting Waltham dial would lead one to suspect a Waltham contract, the numbers certainly are not; the patent marking internally is not seen in Waltham, nor is this style of patent mark on the barrel bridge, but the Newark bridges are typically beveled; the rose design on the cock with the rose surround to the foot screw is typical of Newark; there are other model 57 clones out there as well
