GRO, fine motion & poise, fine plates with minimal scratches, good bright-work, good settings, minimal suggestion of oxide, medium to heavy gauge case showing light wear, microfine & fine scratches & small dings, repair of split on bezel, crown brassy & jacket partially missing, perfect & very rare dial, probably made by O’Hara
INFORMATION UPDATE: The dial, upon removal, is an original and signed Waltham Dial Co. dial, very rare, which fortunately has not been altered; only the movement was changed by the drilling of two new holes in the dial plate to accept the original feet; given the importance of the dial and the relative unimportance of the movement, this is a very positive discovery |
