The verge escapement is in good functioning condition, but the chain has slipped to the upper part of the fusee and MUST NOT BE WOUND until corrected; the movement is in excellent condition otherwise, showing little use; aesthetic condition of the watch & chatelaine border on perfection; beadwork appears to be complete, with only one flattened bead on the bow; the accoutrements may be acquired from various sources of the period, but save for the earlier key with piercing hook, are of the period; both keys show more wear than the remaining whole; the vinaigrette, with pierced work beneath the rock crystal seal, is a work of art unto itself; except as noted, the piece has been hardly worn & essentially maintained as a display object
